There are many parts to living a truly healthy life. Obviously the physical aspect jumps out but in order to be truelly healthy one must also possess great mental health. The two are like yin and yang. As the old Chinese proverbs say balance is the key to life.

Below contains information on a healthy diet. It really isn't as much of a diet as just healthy eating. Dieting can limit your body of vital nutrients it needs.

Nutrition and Healthy Eating

Eating healthy does not always require eating less. Most people would be greatly benfitted by simply spreading what they eat out and starting breakfast and finishing dinner earlier.

Alot of people don't think about it but what you drink can play a very important role. Water should be drank througout the day. It is good to have at least 2 or 3 glasses at mealtime. Carbonated and alcoholic drinks are definate no no's. Carbonated drinks deteriorate muscle tissue and decrease stamina and alcohoic drinks have loads of bad callories and tear your liver and metabolism up.

It take about twenty or thirty minutes for most peoples bodies to tell them that they are full. Therefore you should eat slowly and try to actually enjoy your food and company.

EXERCISE, EXCERXISE, EXCERCISE. You can't just do one or the other. It isn't eat healthy or excercise. Like everything else it is that balance that will produce real results and have you feeling better.

Eat alot of fruit and natural products. However beware of some salads. While they can be a great thing many places load them up with so much dressing that you might as well be eating a cheeseburger and french fries. Try to stay away from dressings and condiments.

Eat as much lean meat and fish as possible. These have proteins and amino acids in them to help you turn fat into muscle.

Eat your main dish first... and remember, slowly. This is usually the healthiest part for you. Sides at most restruants usually consist of some kind of fried or potato product.
